My purple sweater

This sweater is from a Rowan Pattern "Emmeline" by Sarah Dallas from Rowan Magazine number 28. I used Mission Falls 1824 in several colors.

My navy sweater

This sweater is from a pattern in one of the knitter's magazines. I knitted it before I knew how important it was to know which pattern came from where and who the designer was. The yarn is 1) Navy blue from my LYS. It is their house yarn, and 2) a variegated yarn of silk and mohair from ArtFibers in San Francisco.

My first vest

This is the very first thing I knitted. I used a pattern from the Vogue Very Easy Knits book. I used a yarn from ArtFibres called Shakespear, a merino wool.

I hadn't knitted in over 35 years and was walking around San Francisco when I saw this store. An hour (and $120.00) later, I was knitting again.

This is a pattern from the summer "Knitters" 2001 and is knit side to side. I used short rows to make sure it was big enough in the right places and small enough in the others.

The yarn is 100% mercerized Pima Cotton by Schaefer Yarns. It is hand painted and quite lovely.
